o2h co-work labs had a great time hosting the world’s first ‘influencer’ biotech bootcamp. The idea was to bring together a ‘biotech dirty dozen’, who were proven in getting their hands dirty helping British biotech flourish. We tried to nurture a vibe that was an intimate space for exchange and not a typically rigid classroom/panel/conference format. We hoped that the biotech dirty dozen would tackle subjects with their hard grass roots experiences, disagree and stir up a little controversy!  We endeavoured to bring together a mix of voices from the quintet covering (1) Scientists & Techies, (2) Biotech CXO’s, (3) Big Pharma, (4) Academia/Profs & Govt, (5) Incubators & Seed/VC’s and who have demonstrated a hard grass roots stake in shaping the future of life science.

It was the inaugural event of newly renovated the old Mill house at the Mill SciTech Park operated by o2h co work labs. We have tried to create intimate boutique work spaces alongside high specification labs designed to spur those serendipitous conversations that spark creativity.

The bootcamp was organised over two half days on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th October. The content included an eclectic pedagogy of high intensity expert subject tours, masterclasses, personal stories, workshops and debates covering the eight zones of A – Business, Economy & Funding, B-Biology & Chemistry, C- Strategy, Culture & Ops, D – AI & Tech, E – Customers & Investors, F – Deals & Exits, G – Innovation & Creativity, and H – Cambridge & World Domination.
