about the o2h kickstarter

The o2h kickstarter competition has been designed to provide a boost to small molecule focused biotechnology companies which have raised some initial funding and need to supercharge their chemistry efforts to meet their next funding milestone. Winners will be able to give their projects a chemistry boost to accelerate to support hitting key project milestones.

After receiving an overwhelming response from the first competition, we are now launching the second edition of the o2h Kickstarter competition, specifically focused on Australian biotech startups. Aus Biotech has a globally competitive ecosystem which has impact significantly higher than its size compared to the overall global Biotech sector. We at o2h Discovery have recognised this powerhouse of research excellence and are dedicating a Kickstarter competition focused only on the Aus Biotech ecosystem.

Dedicated team of six FTE synthetic chemists of which two are fully trained and four are trainees.

Six synthetic chemists at the standard cost of one FTE.

Access to a large inventory of chemicals and reagents for synthesis.

The programme would be offered up to six months.

eligibility

The competition is for pre-seed stage small molecule focused biotech companies based out of Australia which have secured initial funding from recognized grant bodies or venture/angel investors, has exciting drug target and ability to scale.

evaluation

The applications will be evaluated by the o2h Kickstarter committee and 3 winners will be announced by 15th March 2023. This is a time bound competition. If supportive to the global biotech ecosystem we will run this again.
